Hi Orcas! Happy first official day of summer!

Thank you for braving the weather (we got REALLY lucky last night) and joining us at Peacehaven pool for an exciting evening of swimming!  The coaches have worked very hard the past two weeks helping fine tune some things and it really showed last night!

It's hard to believe our season is over half-way complete! 

A couple of important announcements:

1) Please be sure you have declared YES or NO for the rest of the swim meets.  Please be sure you have met your expected three volunteer spots as well!  

2) We've had some issues the last two meets with swimmers declaring attendance but then not showing up at a meet. This, along with swimmers leaving before a meet is over and not double-checking that they are not in any more events, only to leave a relay missing a swimmer in the end. Both of these issues cause coaches to quickly scramble to find replacements and/or sadly, scratch an event or a relay. This is not fair to the other 3 swimmers who ARE ready for their relay. It is also not fair to the team because it could result in losing needed points.

If you know you are going to miss a meet that you declared attending, please reach out to a coach ASAP.

If you are leaving before the end of a meet, please be absolutely positive your swimmer does not have any more events. We often have "A" and "B" relays at the end of the meet. Your swimmer just might be in one of those! We understand swim meets are long. But it's also nice to see our team cheering until the end! Also, even if your swimmer isn't in an event towards the end, it's nice to have "extras" on hand in case we need a quick sub!

The coaches spend hours preparing a meet. Last minute fixes because of lack of communication from families is something that is avoidable. We appreciate your attention and assistance here.

3) There will be NO PRACTICE on Friday 6/23 because coaches will be at the City Meet.  (email will be sent to those swimmers soon)

4)  Next swim meet:  Tuesday 6/27 @ Brookwood
