Coach Olivia is a rising senior at Davie High and has swam with the Orcas for 10 years, Davie High for the last 3 years, as well as spending some time swimming for Swim Tyde. She will serve as a captain of the team for the 26-27 season and looks forward to working with swimmers of all ages.
Coach Zach is a lifetime Orca and has swam with the team since he was 6. He also swims with Swim Tyde and is a rising senior for Davie High and served as a captain of the team for the 2025-26 season and will again be a captain next year. He was named the team MVP for all three seasons with Davie High and was also voted NPC Conference Swimmer of the Year for the 2025-26 season. He is excited to work with swimmers of all ages and share his love for the sport!
Coach Samara is a rising junior at Davie High, where she's swam for the last 3 years and was a team captain for 2025-26 season and again selected to serve as a captain for next year! She has been swimming for 11 years with the Orcas, and has also competed for Swim Tyde. Coach Samara has been a valuable asset to the Orcas, serving as a 6 and under group coach last year and excited to work with all age groups and swimming this summer!
Coach Colin has been swimming with the Orcas since age 5, swimming his 11th year this year and is excited to join the coaching team! He has also swam with Swim Tyde since he was 7. He is a rising junior at Forsyth Country Day School where he was selected as PTAC conference swimmer of the year for the 24-25 season and is excited to meet and have fun with all swimmers this summer!
Coach/Dr. Tak is a long-time official and starter/referee for the summer league and returns to help with the coaching staff! Both of his sons (Zach and Alex) have swam since they were 6 and unders for Orcas. He is also head coach for Davie High swim team where he was selected as the Coach of the Year for both boys and girls teams in the North Piedmont Conference, and also coaches for Swim Tyde and enjoys getting to know his swimmers. When he's not spending time coaching, officiating or watching swimming (and not doctoring) he enjoys spending time with the scouts and training Taekwondo where he holds a second degree blackbelt.
He reminds his swimmers to have fun, and "focus on the process and be better than you were yesterday - the results will follow."
